Soaking Ride To Delaware Water Gap (2/26/00)

Thought it was gonna be a nice day I took a ride out into the mountains yesterday. When I left Philly it was about 60 degrees and sunny. Up toward the Delaware Water Gap. It was nice on the way there, twistie tight roads, nice scenary along the delaware river. I stopped at a scenic lookout to take a couple of pics, I noticed - nice foggy hilltops. Got back on the bike, I head down the same road, only to be surrounded by the thickist fog I ever seen. can see 30 feet ahead tops. After about 20 miles I don't really know where I was, and my low fuel light came on. I decided to turn around and go back and look for a gas station. Made it with 25 miles into reserve (whew) Thought the hard night is over, I head home. 2 miles out of the gas station it started raining. It kept raining until I got home. 40 degree pouring rain. So I got soaked. for 60 miles. My braids got wet(damn) my leathers got stiff, my bike mudded. What a way to spend a sunday. Gald I didn't catch a cold. Or ran into the ditch in the fog. Now I gotta get my hair do again... Don't go into the mountains in the winter peeps...

The scenery was nice though. And is this me???

Check out the fog and the ice in the water... I loved the scenery.
